The disruptions began around 5:40 AM Eastern Time, with users reporting issues such as endless loading loops and error messages stating "Something went wrong. Try reloading" on both mobile and desktop versions of the platform.
According to Downdetector.com, over 40,000 users reported problems accessing X, with 56% of issues related to the app and 33% to the website.
These outages typically lasted for several minutes before users could refresh their feeds again. The issues appeared to be global, affecting users in various regions.During these outages, frustrated users turned to alternative platforms like Meta's Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon, which remained fully operational, to discuss the ongoing glitches.
As of now, X has not responded to inquiries for comments regarding the cause of these outages.
