UK passport fees to increase next month

The Government has announced an increase in UK passport fees starting next month.

From 10 April, the cost of a standard online passport application within the UK will rise from £88.50 to £94.50 for adults and from £57.50 to £61.50 for children.

For postal applications, fees will increase from £100 to £107 for adults and from £69 to £74 for children.

The price of a one-day Premium Service application will also rise, going from £207.50 to £222 for adults and from £176.50 to £189 for children.

Julia Lo Bue-Said of Advantage Travel Partnership told The Independent: “This is yet another financial burden on travellers at a time when the ongoing cost of living crisis continues to impact households. It feels like travellers are repeatedly penalised for choosing to go abroad.”
